Grace Community Church Marriage Ministry invited me to speak on having a customer service counter for Marriage. Registration is at http://bit.ly/1G5f7i8. Although I minister to all of God’s people in my private practice and with my speaking, I admittedly do always look forward to sharing service concepts in marriage with my Christian brothers and sisters.
My message is Good News, and I love to share with Christians that the most recent Science and Research about Marriage backs up what Jesus Christ preached and taught – service and humility. The most successful relationships have two people involved who know that there is a constant need for repair – Because we are sinners, and we make a lot of mistakes as human beings in our relationships. Having a Customer Service Counter for marriage is all about following Jesus in our marriage, and knowing the steps to humbly and effective repair relationship problems leads to reconciliation with our mate and with our God.
I love speaking to Christians because you understand humility. You have acknowledged that you are a sinner, as have I. God sent Jesus Christ, to live here among us. Jesus washed the feet of his disciples as a symbol of what we are supposed to do for one another. I am going to wash feet on April 18, and I am going to do so by telling you a little about myself, my relationships, and my work as a marriage therapist for 15 years. I don’t think it works very well for me to stand in front of an audience giving you expert advice unless I do so in a way that is Christian – this means I will be humbling myself with you and for you. This is how I am going to teach the concept of service in marriage, and I am convinced that it is the only way.
I look forward to our experience together, and I Believe and have Faith that the Holy Spirit will work in me and in all of us to understand a deeper way to love and serve our spouse.
To Your Relationship Success, In Christ,
